New Years Eve - a Fiftieth Post special

This blog, Daisy and Blossom, has reached a great milestone: 50 posts! In this particular photo special post, I will be looking back on the 2017, and some of the best rabbit moments so far.

Today is the day we celebrate Daisy and Blossom's birth. They are one year old!

We have been giving Daisy and Blossom fresh grass to supplement a diet of pellets and hay.

It seems Blossom is taking all of the grass!

We have recently purchased some new shoes, so naturally Daisy and Blossom got hold of the box.

A homemade cardboard digging toy

Today, we made a home-made cardboard digging toy for the rabbits to explore.

The idea is that we put Daisy and Blossom's treats and hay into the slots and let them make a mess!

The grass eaters

Daisy and Blossom have been enjoying the grass. They are like two little lawn mowers.

They have been learning to eat like real bunnies!

Who said that?

Blossom and Daisy have been outside a lot during half term. They have been enjoying the sunshine.

Blossom can hear all sorts of new things such as neighbours, machinery, birds, trains and planes.

Today we let Daisy and Blossom explore their outdoor enclosure. Both nibbled the fresh grass.

Flopping in the sunshine

Recently, it has been very sunny around the UK. Blossom has been flopping in the sunshine a lot.

A month in, and it seems both rabbits feel at home. Blossom seems to like her greens, and Daisy is a bit too fond of chewing cardboard.

Daisy has been hopping around downstairs recently.

Rabbits move in the most peculiar fashion.

After a long run and dinner, both rabbits have been sleeping together.

They're both flopped!

We have been letting our pet rabbits run relatively freely around downstairs lately.

Feeding times

To complement the masses of hay, Daisy and Blossom have two meals of rabbit food a day.

Their diet is especially planned for maximum health and cuteness.

This is Blossom exploring a cardboard box.

She is nibbling it. She has also been hiding in it and jumping on it. Poor box!

Yesterday, we let our pet rabbits explore downstairs.

This is the furthest south Blossom has probably been.

Today, we have let our rabbits explore downstairs.

We think Daisy quite likes this cardboard box.

Sleepy rabbits

It seems that our pet rabbits, Daisy and Blossom, have had a good Easter.

They both look like they have eaten too many Easter eggs!

A quick drink

Today, Daisy and Blossom have been drinking lots of water.

You can see Blossom's tongue lapping up the water at this angle.

Our new rabbits have been enjoying a couple of new toys to stimulate their minds.

It seems that they prefer chewing this ball than pushing it around.

Today, we expanded Daisy and Blossom's roaming area.

They now have double the space to laze around with a new pen.

One of our many favourite things about Blossom is her grey marking around her nose.

We think it looks a lot like a moustache.

Morning breakfast!

This morning, Daisy and Blossom had breakfast together outside of the cage.

It was an experimental idea, but we think it's better if all food is served inside their house.

What's this?

As rabbits are crepuscular, our rabbits nap a lot of the time.

It seems as Blossom is looking at the camera through the tunnel, but she is actually resting. Night night Blossom.

Daisy has been burrowing her face in hay.

Hay is her main food source.

Long ears

As our pet rabbits are dwarf lops, they have long, drooping ears.

They also have the most amazing whiskers!

Daisy and Blossom are both settling well in together.
